2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser with our new 17:56:2....pulls great but at a cost of 20L/100 through winding hills....17.5L/100 on the open road......would be interested to hear from anyone pulling a 2.5 tonne van with a new BT50

Thought I'd post our two tow vehicles. The Patrol is running Mickey Thompson MTZs, 2 in lift with Poly airs, Snorkel, Dual Battery and the challenger has a 2in lift with poly airs and the snorkel. Still wanting to add some other bits to both vehicles but the expanda is getting the money at the minuteDSCF2310.JPGDSCF2335.JPG

The Triton does about 16ltrs/100. Looking at maybe getting a mandrel exhaust. 17.56.2 is 2.4 tonne. HR WDH helps a lot for stability.

Hey Chartrock,

Nice van same as ours. Just wondering about the hatch on the RH rear of van behind toilet waste door, did you put it in or was it done from the factory? Any particular reason for having it?

Cheers

G'day Col, it's an external shower fitted by the dealer as part of my purchase. We have the internal shower and HWS and just thought it would be a nice little extra. I have used it to wash my feet after beach play.

Cheers thanks for that. i thought it may have been an access door into the cupboards under the mattress area.

Cheers

An access door to that area would be great from either side but the dealer fitted the shower that side and the Jayco safe is fitted just inside the other side. I could move the safe to just behind the shower and put a hatch on the kerb side as someone else has done on a bigger van. Food for thought.

Yeah thanks. The Amarok tows just fine but like riding a 250 motorcycle, they can go pretty quick but you need to do a bit more work with the gears.

Hi everyone,

Its great to see the many & awesome difference's in our tow vehicles, Below is our new baby, I have a list of mods as long as my arm but here is a couple. Of course this is once the items come into stock!
ARB Bullbar (colour coded) (Still 4 weeks away)
Lightforce XGT240 lights
Dual Batteries (120 AH Fullriver)
Redarc DCDC charger
Quick release big mudflaps (to protect the Panda of course)

I havent had it in front of the van yet but this new 5cyl 3.2 ltr diesel leaves our old D4D Prado for dead:thumb:

Hi Big Gee, very nice looking rig, I have a Ranger on order at the moment, am also thinking about getting an ARB Bullbar fitted and dual Battery setup, would you mind posting a couple of pics of the Ranger with the bullbar on it? And also if you dont mind, how much did it set you back, bullbar and Dual Batt. Cheers
