I'm too scared to come a cross to the 'dark side' :scared: If money wasn't an issue, i would sign up tomorrow.

Still have the old D40 and BT50 on the radar. End of financial year is a good time to do a bargain. I think every car i have ever purchased from a dealer, new or second hand has been in June LOL.

My rig is an 06 Turbo Diesel Cruiser. Mickey Thompson 4 ribbed ATZ 285 70 17. Two inch lift, ARB front and rear bar, ARB rear air locker, Steinbauer chip, 3 inch exhaust, IPF HID spot lights, Rhino rack roof rack, Gunyah awning, GME UHF, dual dvd in head rests, just ordered an Expanda 17.56.1 one week ago. Expect delivery in late August. Does anyone think the 300mm extended draw bar is a good idea.

Welcome nice rig. Yep extended drawbar is great value, my only disclaimer is it makes backing the Expanda "different" not harder just slower to come around, harder to jack knife. More room for s*%t on the drawer bar :)

Just replaced my LC79 GXL, which is a sad story of Toyota factory snorkels not being designed for water. Had only travelled 13000 ks.
Anyway have now reconstructed an identical one, starting from a bare cab chassis and steel bull bar.
Added OX9500 winch, GME 4400 CB in roof console, Alpine 910R which integrated with existing reversing cameras,TripleM alloy tray, WOW Canopy, Front Runner roofrack, Ironman awning. Under the tray, 100L SS water tank and Shurflo pump and tap either side of cab, Anderson Plug, external and internal 55 watt lights. Internal toolbox has Lifetime AGM battery and relays etc. Battery Management is Red Centa. Under tray tool box holds ARB compressor forARB Diff lockers, and connection for pumping up tyres.
ERPS rust protection and being a cynical old sod, I also had it rust proofed because of beach work.

Still need to extend diff breathers and do have a wish list. 3" exhaust and chip. My wife thinks a lift kit would also be good.

Had a similar rig on an ST Patrol for 6 years. Went to the Cruiser with V8 to get the torque for towing on sand. Last year towed our 16.49 OB to the Eastern Beach on Moreton Island without any problems.
Wish they could put a Patrol cab on the Cruiser, would be ideal.

Cruiser 06. The 300mm drawbar is only rated for 2500 kg as you are probably aware.

File size is a problem so I've added a few which are small enough

Photo with a boat is prepping to tow my sons 3 tonne boat through Indian Head to Orchid beach. Not necessary but we always tandem hitch just in case.

Nice Cruiser, a great set up for touring, towing & off road! I agree the draw bar extension is a great idea for creating extra storage area, your ramp over angle between the van and car does get slightly worse but not a great deal. For us it meant being able to completely open the one piece rear door on the Pajero without hitting the tool box, allowing us to slide out the fridge and drawers (not such an issue with the Cruiser though).

Here is my baby, 2010 200 series TTD. Additiions so far are outback drawers in rear with 2 engels, arb deluxe bullbar, warn 9.5XP winch, arb onboard air compressor, optima third aux battery, taipan 3" exhaust, OME 2' lift and GVM upgrade, uniden uhf, scanguage and a few other bits and pieces. Tows the expanda like you wouldnt believe, will be a keeper this one. Missus drives the cruiser and I drive a new manual bt 50, my heavy right foot with an auto equals car not last long. Want to keep the bt 50 light so mods list not so extensive apart from the "essentials". Has heavy duty tray with aux battery and hand wash station, genuine steel bar, lightforce spotties, uniden uhf, BFG all terrains.
