Just got back from a 3 week tug to airlie, had 5 days were we had rain a few dewy mornings and no wet bed ends, pillows or feet. Had the Vinyl Kakadu BEFs installed before we left no real driving rain thou, but so far very happy. Quick to put on and off as well

I may of missed something, what are people doing about the rubber seals that are installed onto the doors?

Yeah, you remove the rubbers rivet the sail track on and put the rubber back in place. Might need to stretch the rubber a bit to make sure it fits back in place

I used the Jayco flys for the first time over the last 2 weeks, and guess what, no rain. I will keep putting them on if it keeps the rain away.
I made a small extension piece for the top press stud, about 30mm long for the top and they fit the original press studs, the flys keep the van a lot darker, so the kids slept a lot better.
Im happy with them.

Hi Greg was that just a press-stud to press-stud extension. So a 30mm piece of something with one male and one female stud?

I saw a new work n play on my travels and it has a different hard lid design. The lip goes straight down so the only option he had was to put it on the outside. Plus it leak while driving. Hmmm...

I think I've worked out why my bed ends don't seem to leak. I was at Jayco at Coffs Harbour checking out the place and I noticed that the canvas/vinyl seemed to be lighter weight material than whats used on my 2009 model, I don't know for sure but it sure seems like it.

I agree with you @Drover. Im convinced our 2009 model had heavier canvas and in 5 years it didn't leak a drop

Studs broke of ours, two in fact. We also had a handy brother in law who put some eyelets in for us so when it's really windy they can be tied down.

a broken stud, R/H bottom for me. 3rd time I used it. The bottom of the stud on the canvas just peeled off from the top. Looked at the others, there all fairly poor quality.

Jayco fixed canvas while we waited. Good service. They also gave us some flat head screws as one of the reasons studs didn't hold was our screws we had in van were dome shape and they hit top of stud so they didn't click in properly. The guys at Caravanland are excellent.
