Received a phone call from Suncorp............yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....will ring back about the claim within 48 hours........................what the?

Ombudsman tomorrow...... Whatever way I look at it. "Let it be said let it be done".........Yul Brynner.

I see breaches of the code of compliance/practice for insurance brokers. Will get my head into it after my initial complaint to the ombudsman. SIck of pussy footin.... Little stick from little guy, but I'm gunna swing like hell..............

Commiserations. Sounding like my current battle with Telstra and NBN. Brother in law getting it even worse.

I learnt long ago when dealing with Telco's, Insurance, Council, Management etc, I start a file for the incident and log time/date, who I spoke to and what about just in case for later on, usually when I start to get the run around, say about call 3 I get some action when I quote time, date, call duration, the operator etc and mention I have it recorded in case they stuff up and don't recall............overall RACQ only need one poke to get the message.

Now you have to be carefull of migraines when reading legislation gobblegook, drink plenty of water, no grog and keep the phone away or you may end up ringing someone and abusing them.......................................kick arse.

Complaint is sent straight to the insurance company for their version to be told.

Bit of a coincidence, but 40 seconds after the ombudsman emailed me that they emailed my complaint to Suncorp I received an email saying that the money has just been deposited................ 40 seconds..................:flypig:

Glad to see that getting the Ombudsman involved seems to have triggered a suitable outcome. Once had to do that ourselves. House got broken in to and they found and took some spare keys. We wanted to have the locks changed under insurance and they declined and would just replace the keys themselves. When asked what would happen if they returned and used the keys to steal everything they responded that it would then be illegal entry and still claimable. We changed the locks anyway. We wrote to the Ombudsman and got a quick response from our insurance company that they would pay out but it would not be setting a precedent. Funny that shortly afterwards the Policies for home insurance had a new clause that allowed for replacement locks. No precedent my arse.

Finalised....Moneys in the account..........Casino here I come...........LOL...as if............

Not sure if the ombudsman played a role in the speeding up at the end, but I can say the ombudsman publishes data regarding insurance companies and complaints. If it didn't make a difference at least I had my official little b'itch about the poor service, if it did, then I'm also a winner..........

Next complaint................haha......can't do it......Yes I can.........creating a new thread in a few minutes............

Thanks to all for your support through this episode..........Hugs and kisses (in a French sort of way).
