Yes, very, especially seen ad I found most of what I needed on scrap piles at job sites.
Big advantage is the 3 x caps to take off for cleaning. Can't do that with a standard tank.

yeah, I realise that the water will be transferring from one tank to the new ones as used

was more interested in overall weight, and if it was a feasible idea
as well as how much over you were taking the van

must be almost at the "only socks, jocks, Bra's and knickers" stage soon.............:behindsofa:

We've just been talking about what to do on our next big trip in 2018 re grey water in light of many free camps now requiring you to be fully self-contained, and thought we might have to convert one of our freshwater tanks to grey - but love this idea! Following closely.

Test spot.
Canungra show grounds, after years of going to this place, this is the first time I got pole position.

I dug through the receipts, the cost of grey water tank is similar to off shelf type.
Except.
Difference being this type will fit as you need and can be cleaned out thoroughly.
If I fix my busted tug, another test this weekend I hope.
Plus test wood oven.

Lets just ask if you have been told so far today, if not, ya have now.......

Fun bit about this is that I am way over due to have both Carpel Tunnels sliced open, and am now unable to work waiting for a chance to get it done.
As I can't sit on my back side stareing at an idiot box, I have decided to tinker.

Something I should have done a while ago, finally got done.
Ball weight, I got the van loaded up ready to go, and found the ball weight to be about 225 kg's, that was without the genny in front box and bikes on the rack.
If I get time, I'll load them on for the sake of a weight value.
But, I am happy with the result, to be honest, I was expecting a lot more weight, this keeps it is very close to the 10% of ATM theory for the ball weight.
I'm getting ready for some load distribution bars, my cousin has them for a van of same size and weight and recons they help keep the ship steady on the bumps, I have always thought it is only to compensate for incorrect loading.

Sorry about the link size, I have no idea how to share a link correctly.
Although I now see it worked... :)

The plan is to leave on a thursday afternoon when school finishes, skip the friday and drive to townsville where the tribe fly's home and I drive home after.

Got some work to do on an attachment to put in front of the van in the time being, and it isn't the one pictured here already, its a better 1.

Picked up the new attachment for the front of the van yesterday.
It is out with the Old, and in for the new.

Yep, they look exactly the same.
But this new one has an important sticker on the back. :)

Some fun times ahead this 2 weeks, to get it sorted for the 4,000 k trip these holidays.
Now about the Tug.
Its a 100 series, Manual, with the better diesel in it.
This is a genuine 1 owner car, with a good service history and very long list of add on's
Some of them are:
ARB Front and Side Bars
Warn Winch
ARB Torsion Bar
2 x sets of rear springs, a 400 kg (Fitted) and spare 250 kg set
Rear bar with swing out wheel and work light
ARB Roof rack, getting swapped with the 105 as I don't need this type.
ARB Compressor, diff locks front and rear.
Longranger fuel tank
EFS shocks
Outback drawers
Overhead consol
UHF 40 channel radio
Redarc dual battery system
Bound to be something else I can't recall now.
Best bit is a lot more power.
It has no chips, bigger injector nozzels, turbos etc, still has original stainless exhaust, previous owner was waiting to damage it to justify a 3".

Some pics from the add

I have a shopping list for it.
Denim seat covers.
Redarc Towpro
Airbags with sleeves for the rear springs.
Overhead roof DVD screen and game console, 11"
DVD head rest screens and movie player, 10"
I have these on the way, also need to sort out the trailer plug abd fit a ESC plug and switch.
Plus
Sell the 105.
No pressure, just got the 2 weeks. :)

No cancer at all thank........ !
I swapped the roof racks over which exposed the dreaded gutter trim, full out Outback QLD thankfully, and nothing else.
So it came off and will stay off.
If you know someone with a 100 or 105 series, and the Lexus, tell them they need to check under these things as this is a big source of rust in the roof.
I pulled the rear bar apart and the stereo surrounds to get ready for fitting the new gadgets.
This is how the better half 1st seen the car, in bits. :)

I went the 100mm for better selection of fittings for the front sections, I was considering a pair of150mm pipe at the back but the outlet was going to be too low for my liking.
A length of 150 mm across the chassis at about 1400mm in length is about 17 liters, compared to the 8 liters of the 100mm
