Hey Tim and Trish, I sympathise with you both....
We ordered ours at a similar time march30th 17.56-1ob after having a touring 2011 16.49-1 for 2 years. we decided its time to upgrade, our new vans at our dealer and has been for a week or so BUT they can't fit us in til 27th June for the handover. That's just frustrating ... So close but too long away, dad (me) and the kidlets can't wait that long, wife's not too fussed yet.

All the best.

Looking good. About the grin on your face...that relgate mentioned. Try my "sucking a lemon" tip. Grinning all day long is sometimes unfortunately mistaken for weirdness by non-Expanda owners.

Hey All,

Thanks for the comments. Well we are home again and after a busy 48 hrs i am back in front of the PC. Had a nice first night out in the bush getting down to 8, but being used to the camper this was raiser to bare, particularly the midnight toilet stop. Have a few teething issues, but nothing to write home about.

Got home around lunch time and gave it a wash (dirt roads for it's first trip) then got stuck in and cut the speaker holes before it went up the side. So now we have the stereo in as well, just needs wires. Anyway, a few more picks of the weekend and it sleeping spot.

Over all, i would say we are very happy with our decision to make the change.

Just a few more pics for you to see. With the colours we picked also what it looks like without a microwave. I haven't taken a photo of the fixed bottom bunk . To cold to go outside to take a pic heheh. I must say the nice warm ac works a treat but on our maiden voyage we didn't have power so could not use it. Nice and cold thats for sure. We had about 5 degrees. We decided to keep the rear end up for the night to try and keep a bit of warmth in the van.

Cheers

Trish

I like your van storage spot. Im looking at doing something similar. Do you get much weather through the gap where the right side of the carport roof overlaps the garage roof?

Great looking van there.
you have the same colour cushions as we have chosen. What colour is your bench top? As it is a bit hard to Stella for sure.

thanks

Four of us, i am expecting to make it. But i am holding off on confirming in case my plans change with Trish away i have one commitment i need to sort out.

Soaring the carport stands up pretty well to weather, we face Westish so the house protects most of the weather that comes in from the SE direction. When i am finished, it will have the shade style cutians down to fence line and accross the front to a height you can walk under. Weather protection will be great then, it will only be a mist of rain at best, with good sun protection.

So now an update on the mods (upgrades), i have to do it at work, as i have no time at home now.

I made some good progress last night, stripped the front part of the van to run cable (they come apart easy) Got the stero all cut in and installed with power on and some speakers wired in, worked out all the unmarked Jayco circuts and got some of the charging stuff in. Tonight it will be rest of the stero, accesory power, tunnel lighting, and a new larger charing feed wire.

No photos, i forgot and needed to go to bed.
