Well its all finished........................ Since the original drain and water line hole in floor was covered by the slider, I needed a new hole for them, a quick note to " Bannister and Crunn Hole Engineers" in the UK and a brown paper and string parcel arrived in great time by British Carrier Pigeon and I got 2 for the price of one, Henry Crunn said he had a special deal going...................... British Ingenuity at its best for sure.................. rebuilding the original cupboard went rather well I used a small circular saw with a 40 tooth blade and the cuts were damn nice, my mate expects his saw back which is a pity as I rather like it anyway lots of swearing putting it all back together, much like working under a cars dash, painful.................while the varnish finish on my addition doesn't please me once it gets a wicker tray for stuff on top and maybe a magazine rack on the side (glares from Mrs D) it should be okay.......................... For once I do some wood butchering and have things nice and square nothing else is, pity..... Got great compliments from some mates about the wall cut being so neat, of course it is, like my best welds, get hidden away....................

So jobs done, now to see if it travels okay, a quick run to Bjelke Peterson Dam and maybe Gayndah for a test run might be in order......

Nice job, even matching the timber coloring. Well done from a professional creator of expensive melamine boxes with lids

One glaring issue that you'll need to rectify before you hit the road .... is as soon as all the 'winows' are clean, add a "D" and you can use it on the windows too :bolt:

Henry Crunn ??............................................ Bannister and Crunn ????

Ha, I also noticed your original point about a "D", I thought spelling mistake in Pigeon but it was on the spray bottle, thinking pigeon/windows, this is like those "pick the errors" drawings in the paper, luv it............................................

You also missed something that doesn't look quite right in the last pic, I was sure you would pick it up.......

The odds were really stacked against me with that one, a wireless radio program, from another country ... before I was born. Praise be to the Google Gods :D

Finished off the Jerry Can racks to put on the back of Big Mal, first one, just went together so well, good 45deg cuts and bends, was amazed I didn't have to bodgy some bits up, the next one went to poo right from the start, blew a cut by 10mm, then the master came to the fore by fixing it simply, all went well till I made the lock bar, some more ingenious work with welder and grinder required, I love working with steel........................ Some stuffing around with the back of van and they should be mounted in time to go for a short jolly in a couple of weeks to see if the Genny tries to escape.....................

That can is a youngster' its date stamp is 1975, its the mower fuel can, the touring ones have a current compliant paint job, yellow diesel and red ULP, I actually have one with a 1958 stamp on it and one with WD (War Dept) so certainly a museum piece, doubt a plastic one would still be usable after that amount of time...... properly maintained so no rust or crap in them.......... I have quite a few as well as some plastic water jerry's they are the one's that tend to have failures and they date from the 1980's.........................

Thats it, all mods complete and I cant think of any for the future, all gear put into hibernation again......For the history buffs the jerry on the left is stamped WD 1952 and its mate is DD 1958 ....

Looked at those cans and thought the war department didn't have plastic cans back then, and then the realisation hit me, @Drover has commandeered a supply of that RAAF yellow paint from the same era. It was on everything.

:biggrin-new::biggrin-new::biggrin-new::biggrin-new::biggrin-new: ............. Sadly my supply of RAAF yellow ran out a few years ago, this was store bought and the green cans painted to comply with the fuel can colour standards.....I got bored.........still have a couple of green jobs along with 2 painted red for ULP....

Lifting that big spare wheel, it wont be long till I will need to call RACQ out if I have a flat, getting bluddy hard to lift it up....

@Johnanbev , @Drover may have been "on everything" , but perhaps you meant to say he was "into everything" he could get his hands on that was not nailed down??
