Hi all

Has anyone out there had to fill their tanks and while trying to fill your water
tanks with a hose more of the water than you are trying to put in your water
tanks ends up on the ground.

Well "fear" no more I have made a water conection to help fill up the water
tanks in about 4mins for a 80ltr tank with no water on the ground whats so ever.
This 25mm barbed connection fits straight into the water filler.

Don't forget while filling tanks to turn on the front tap to release the air
whilst it is filling, this will prevent water coming out of the sink tap and all
over the floor from the pressure. Trust me I have made this mistake:D

At one end I have a 25mm barb end with a 1"BSP Female end. Into that there is a
male to male 1"BSP both sides. Then just the normale garden hose fitting with a
1"BSP female. Join all this together and presto you are ready to fast fill your
water tanks.

You should be able to get all of these parts from Bunning,Tradelink,Galvins and
so on.

Hey Stoney

I like your idea of a tap.
I am going down to bunnings to sort out a tap on the quick fill this weekend.

Absolutely Love the ideas.
Wish i has seen these a month ago. it might have saved some embarrassment while trying to borrow a BP servo's water tap (location with held)

Using a rubber fitting from the end of a waste water hose, a cut down irrigation filter, a tap fitting and a hose clamp.
The filler inlet on the van has a little lip which holds the rubber fitting in place. The only improvement i can see would be an 90degree elbow and an on/off valve. And most importantly we can continue to fuel the car and borrow BP's water.

Enjoy;

I must be doing something wrong, all I do is hook on the hose I have onto the tap with normal hose fitting and stick the plain hose end into the hole, when it gurgles a lot out of the breather its nearly full. I have a short hose just a bit longer than the van for filling tanks or hooking to tap on draw bar to wash sandy feet etc or doing the dunny.
Only get wet when missus doesn't turn hose off fully.
