The link below is from the Jayco site (you will need to download the PDF) and at the bottom of page 9 shows the payload of both the single without shower of 300kg and single with shower 375kg. 400kg for dual axle without shower and 475kg with. Makes you wonder if they actually upgrade any of the weight carrying components to increase the 75kg.

For the tow vehicle some will need to do a GVM upgrade, I just had the cruiser upgaded to 3580kg from 3300kg which will more then cover me there.

Hope this helps some

Anyone know if jayco include the spare wheel in their tare calculations? Just curious.
Also any one know where a weigh bridge is in Northern suburbs of perth? Would be great to get some "real" figures.

Hi All

FYI you can have 4000 kgs on a single axle providing you run the right axle. IIRC 40mm axle carries 1000kg, 45mm 1450kg, 50mm 2000kgs, 60mm 3000kgs and 75mm 4000kgs, they need to have the approiate bearings. Jayco and most caravan companies only use the 45mm and 50mm to my knowledge which is where the 2000kgs on single axle idea comes from. Curious to know if an engineer could re calc your van and up the payload and what it would cost.
