Hi guys.
I thought I`d add my latest invention to the list.
I`ve installed a towel rail permanently to the side of the van.
I bought an aluminium towel rail {1.2m}, 2 rail ends, and one mid support from Bunnings. I think total cost was around $12.
After carefully measuring and marking out a spot below the window, I drilled into the side wall and attached the railing with rivets.
If anyone wants to do the same, the only advice I have before hand is to make sure the door catch is free from the railing when the door is clicked into the open position.
With the towel rail attached, I can leave towels {or clothing} hanging out under the protection of the awning.
This saves the need for other types of portable clothes lines when you only need to hang a few things out.
I could have gone bigger, but I liked the look of the 1.2m running under the main window. I`m thinking of putting another one on. Maybe higher up beside the window.
See attached picture.
