seat covers

Hi Everyone

Has anybody taken the seat covers off the foam and put them in the washing machine?? we are in the proces off giving our new one a complete clean down and noticed they are zipped on, I know they would be a bit of a bugger to get back on but has anybody done this??

ours is a 16.49.1

In the factory, they vacuum the cushion to make it fit. They use a special machine. Never tried it before, try one and see how you go.

Hey Salandaar
We have done it once, not by choice but one of the kids had an upset stomach and the rest is history. We had stick on Velcro attached and washing the cover did make the adhesive Velcro come loose and we ended up with a sticky residue from the Velcro left on the bottom vinyl side of the cover. Took a bit of work to get that off. don't know whether that was quality of Velcro strip or just what happens. They were a bit of a pain to get the foam back in but not impossible.
