Hi everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR to all weve just returned from our shack on the murray where we took our expanda for more room , when we left home the fridge (large dometic) was working fine on 240v after the travel up there approx 1 hr setting up etc then going back into the fridge later -attack of the munchies..found that it wasnt working.Tried all connections all seemed to be in order but then im no electrician.
Just wondering if anybody else has experienced the same problem or have any ideas

ps works a treat on gas....

cheers Russell

You probably already checked but nothing in the cupboard had fallen over and turned the power point off? It happened in our Hawk once when packing the cupboard.

like wise for us in previous swan, something had fallen over during travells. plug is usually in the ajoining cupboard. keep posted on the findings. you've also rotated the selection switch a few times to be sure contact is current for 240v too yes??

Id say that the 240v element is kaput. these burn out after a while, you can pick them up at your jayco dealer for about $120 and install yourself, i didnt find it very difficult at all. the way you can check is if your fridge works fine on gas then its 98% chance its the element.
