Hi holden no its not door actived but l fitted a on/off switch underneath the fridge. Cause the light is also connected to a fan to circulate the air , might do a door switch later on.

I still got ours in the packaging waiting to fit the next time we out with the van. Ours is infra red PIR activated. Have tested one the same in the fridge at home, works a charm. Pace.

Hi Bmhdg76, I put in the same one as pace9908 has. ( I think Mrs Pace actually deserves the credit for finding them). Goes on when you open door. Came as a two pack from Bunnings. There are a couple of different types available now. Cold doesn't effect operation. Not quite as flash as kyoshofw05, but our fridge is usually chockers so lights on the door so shines into fridge. Had magnetic switch lights in cupboard in last van, but use push on push off LED lights $3 in this one. Can now find anything in middle of the night without waking anyone.

It helps a lot, lve fitted a temp gauge and you can see the temp drop very faster and it cools the fridge evenly.
On the noise its very faint on a dead quite day/night.
