chirnside park
We stayed at this park Cup weekend, Saturday till Wednesday. Great park, heaps of room, even when it was full like when we arrived at lunch time, so many eyes on us backing in and setting up no dramas at all. A few checked out the van, might have sold a few stone stompers too, the number was taken by 2 lookers! But anyway, great views of what my daughter called the rocky mountains on both sides of the park. There is a huge dam wall at the eastern end of the park holding back water supply just outside of the park but you can't even see it for the trees. If it ever burst vans will quickly turn into boats but its been there for years and very safe. There's a heated, wood fired pool 30 degrees, 4 trampolines, kids playground, heaps of cockies and corellas also roos, which all the kids love they hang around all day close to park then raid the joint at night always good to see them. Clean amenities, music in them, only 4 showers in the block close to us great camp kitchen with big open fire which they light , wood there to keep it going. A bloke drove around the park at 11pm telling people in big groups time for bed keep it down. All I could hear was my son in the van crying, wife tending to him, mmmmmm kids!
Heaps of room for all kids to play with big grassed areas very much a family friendly park 10 out of 10
will go back for sure nice people and nice view and a very nice place 5 min drive into town going slow. Top Tourist Park for those that are members.

I also concur. We love this place and it is only an hour and a half drive from home. Plenty to do a the Grampians.
Glad you had such a great time there.

The Grampians is one place I need to explore, the last time I was there I was only a kid.

Its a shame its just that bit to far for a weekend.
Great review @Bluey :thumb:
