Hey BM,
Have you got that above head unit for your Triton? If so, does it still have the trip computer function with fuel till empty, fuel consumption etc.

Yes I do have that, had to mount the trip computer where the stereo used to be, but there are other options. Wife said "you are not getting it unless you can keep the trip computer" I would recommend to keep it because it controls bluetooth, head light reminder and auto off, and probably other stuff that I haven't worked out.

check this out for options:

They are not using the same stereo there but have relocated the trip computer.

I have a roof mounted screen that is my second zone, so the kids watch a movie with the IR headphones and me and the wife listen to music and watch nav in the front. Awesome!!!

Goodluck

Hey BM,
We too went with the rooftop DVD for the kids, with wireless headphones, changed the head unit to a Clarion with USB.
Do you use the CB much? Not sure where I could put it though?

CB as in UHF radio? if yes then YES!! use it all the time, would be a good idea to get one if you don't already have one. You can get quite compact units these days with all the controls on the mic, meaning you can put the bulky part underneath the dash or seat. Try to get an 80ch though as they have just been released onto the market as the 40 channels are pretty crowded.

Hi Deano

We have a GME tx3440 remote mic UHF in the Lexus.

The unit is mounted under the centre console.

But the Icom ic400 pro that is in the other car is by far a better UHF.

We use them all the time.

Thanks Crys & BM.
The 80 channel CB's is there any good models with a scanner as well as a CB?
Where do they mount the aerials these days? Bumper, passenger left side?

Hi Deano,

The GME is a 40 channel uhf with an extra 40 channel recieve only scanner.

The icom is a 40 channel uhf with an extra 40 channel recieve & transmit scanner.

Aaron used the icom for the fire service and has had one ever since.

Our antennas are mounted in different places depending on the car - sedan on the rear quarter near the pillar, 4wd on the left-hand corner of the bullbar.

Reasonably Priced AGM Batteries

Found some Ritar Batteries on Ebay Today - I think they are in fact the same ones Jayco use...

120AH for $295 I have been quoted $285ea for 2
105AH for $265

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-120-...=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53ebde123b

I have arranged a courier to get them to Melbourne that is only $31 for 2 batteries, so dont be put down because it says pick up only.

I have no connection to this place, just sharing a good deal.. I think it is anyway
