Looks like I will have Mal back before Xmas, van doc got me to stop by to discuss a vent fitting and the roof and walls are on and getting trimmed, so looked at EH park for vacancy, none so will save money and camp by a river somewhere.

Yeah nothing like rushing to make that first beer in camp feel great....have specialist appt next Wed so might get van back Thurs, pack Thurs night go Friday, mind that's my wishful thinking, someone will more than likely kybosch that idea, freeloaders turn up following week so going away might be frowned upon..but I'll still try......

Lucky bugga, hope it goes to plan Dave, as of Fri they were still waiting on AC shroud and all seasons hatch to turn up, might be lucky.....House roof plumbers will probably ring next week to say they'll do our roof so that's the other thing that will hold us back.....$36K for new tin roof for house and shed, glad its costing me zero...

Well mods to Big Mal are few and far between now but a Sirocco fan is now installed, while the price of them is astounding they sure do a nice job.........This one turned up in the mail the other day, a long time mate bought it for me, excuse was I'm a top bloke, well I know he's BS*itting but I'm not sending it back....,.......The hail damage fix makes the whole rug sparkle now, clean roof, new AC and vents, very happy and the Ibis MkIII is brilliant...

Took Big Mal for a run so Mal and The Jeeperific MkII can get aquainted , V6, 8 gears and I had to keep looking in the mirror to see if Mal was still there.....only downer, ran over a stick which flew up and punched a 30mm hole in front of Mal, nice sitting back at Marlborough free camp just a bit windy....

Well the Combo works well, nice drive back home after a nice 2 nights, windy, dust clouds and all, might need some bags in the rear springs just to counter some roll in bends on windy days. Chucked it around a bit and no thought of bum clenching movements, Big Mal just tucked in behind and stayed there, ready for some long runs, after adding some bash plates, water bladder, radio...... Big Mal a bit of alloy, silastic and a rivet or 6, might just pull the vinyl off and sheet with some 2mm Cheka.
