Looks great BG. What sort of bulbar did you go with? Did you get a good deal? I heard the Rangers are priced up there with the Hilux?
What's the dash look like all lit up. I gather you have a trip computer and all the trimmings?
Cheers Deano

:first: very nice BG, how does it compare to the Prado?

Thanks CD,

It's fairly difficult to compare the two cars, The Ranger is very refined with several more luxury appointments than the Prado had. But there are things, & they may only be very minor but they just remind you that your not driving a Toyota.

I really hope its a good reliable car because it is really nice.

I read somewhere that Ford are not selling the Ranger in the US because they are worried it will be too popular and take sales from there F series utes. Have been looking at twin cabs but think we will hold off a bit and keep the Kluger for another year. The good twin cabs are bloody expensive.

Hey Deano,

I went the ARB color coded deluxe bar & I have a new set of Light Force XGT240 blitz's to go on!

I am happy with the deal I got & your right they are dear & infact since Toyota moved on Hilux the Ranger is significantly dealer. But I could not even get my wife to even look at a Hilux, She saw my Dad's Boss's Ranger and straight away fell in love with it so I guess I was doomed from the start :hail:

The dash does look awesome & it gets better in the night, I didnt think to take a piccie of it all lit up bit I will, it truly is a work of art. It does have all the trimmings as far as Dist to empty, o/s temp, avg & instant fuel consumption + other things.

Probably the most impressive part is the bluetooth system, it is absoloutely fantatstic, I could rave about it all day :thumb:

Soooooo much better looking than the BT Fugly :) The Ranger standard looks good. Once all the fun stuff goes on it is a really good tough looking truck. And I am a Navara fan. Still cant beat the 550 however :bolt:

Must say I am partial to ranger more than BT50. Though new commercial trucks are looking better "pimped",Mazda do offer some nice options.Nissan is getting long in the tooth,2014 update will be interesting.our options are open for moment.congrats big gee.cheers.

Looking better every post. What did the ARB bullbar set you back. They quoted up here $2200 for a deluxe for the Triton. What happen to the shower wall in the 56.2?

Hey Deano,

About 2k for the bar incl. fitting.

Apparently the shower wall was not glued properly? They're changing it this week. They booked it in under warranty at the last service but as far as I'm concerned I don't think it has been any different since we have had it.

Another Big Day

Okay, so we got the quick release mudflaps built, painted & fitted.

I would have liked to get more done today but there is just not enough daylight at the moment.

Got the 17.56-2 on the Ranger for the first time WOW, rear suspension dropped 34 - 35mm, which is awesome THE BIG SURPIRSE is this car has so much torque it idled up our driveway, this compared to the old Prado which required LOW 4 to do the same job...... I am super impressed. (Prado Manual - Ranger is Auto)

Great stuff Big Gee, i am fast falling in love with my BT as well.

Your not wrong about that low down torque, very addictive. I hope these things are reliable, because they are an absolute pleasure to drive. Enjoy mate:tea:

Thanks Lad's

How about that diff lock Moto, I cut loose on some hard wet clay the other night, it was awesome. In about 99' I bought a falcon ute "outback" & I think this PX cuts hoops as well as that old ute did!
