Attachments / Images Did You Know?

Hi all, we have switched on a new feature which now enables you to access all you're past attachments that you have uploaded to the forum.

How Do I Access My Attachments?

Simply go to the top of the screen where you username is displayed in the nav bar and then select the option "My Attachments" as can be seen below -



Alternatively just visit this URL -

What Do I Do With My Attachments?

When viewing the list of your attachments you can now reuse them by simply clicking on the one you want and then copying the link and then using this link to insert an image into your post.

So to cover that again, to re use attachments (images, pdf's etc) -

a) Visit - http://expandasdownunder.com/attachments/mine
b) Find the attachment you want to re use
c) Click on it
d) Copy the link to the attachment from the address bar
e) Go to your new thread / reply and insert an image by pasting the link





We are looking at a way to implement galleries etc in the future but for now this will give you direct access to your attachments and allow you recycle them.

These attachments are for ever and a day; as we have ported them across when we kicked of the new solution.

Currently we are storing about 8,000 images from 2009 when we started .

Not in the cloud but in the magical server world.....

Its not editable as its just the first line of the post that the attachment comes from.

Do you mean like a gallery?

If so no not at this stage but you can just browse the images page by page.

Yes I get it...

So the link you have provided is actually this forum -

This is all the albums from when we where in VBulletin.

As Xenforo does not have albums (yet) I imported all the photos into a forum for people to browse.

I disabled the ability to add more though as I didn't want people replying to your threads.

So whilst we wait for an album solution which is being worked on but is a little while away we have two options -

1) I open the forum up so its open slather, anyone can post and reply which could mean your thread of photos gets messy

2) I could restrict posting in that forum to only the thread creator so only you can post in your own thread. This would allow you to keep it just your images for re use and nothing else.

Will probably need to put out an open poll about what the community wants whilst we wait for an album system....

No rush expanda when ever your ready mate, I just though I might have been doing something wrong hence I couldn't upload any pic's. As for the album gallery same same no rush.
