I got an alignment yesterday
I had one done when fitted but forgot to stick to the 10K check I had planned..... Wondered why the insides of the front tyres were slicker than a Formula 1's dry weather slick tyre and the outer edges looked like new!!!!

That sounds wrong??? Might have been a dodgey alignment to start with. I got an alignment when I got the 697's and got 70k out of them without another alignment just rotations every 10k and will do the same strategy with these. The place I go to is a specialist joint not like a big tyre franchise that lets the work experience kid do it lol.

Time to drill some more holes in the Triton. I bought a scupper vent for my canopy after seeing how well @Smergen 's accent canopy with the vent worked keeping out the dust. Pretty straight forward install for the vent and I'm keen to see how it goes keeping the dust out.

It'll be a great addition @17triton. Whilst it doesn't make your canopy dustproof it sure as hell helps.

A couple of days driving around in dusty Lincoln National Park (check out blog... sly plug) and had the vent open. No dust inside which is good as that's where all the pillows and clothes were. Normally most of the dust comes in through the Colorado's big tail gate gaps. This negates it and keeps air going out the rear.

I'm still trying to figure out how to perhaps put a sponge air filter on it when travelling in dusty convoys.... Probably cut to size....

No big update but bought this last week to help save killing the cranking battery. I was weighing up between a full on duel battery setup or portable like this and with the thoughts of upgrading the Triton down the track I can just take this with me.

It's a Baintech Powertop and its sitting on a 100ah battery so will be sufficient to run the fridge and camp lighting. I can charge from 240v, through the car dc or solar if I get a panel that is.

$595 delivered including Anderson plug set and their own lock on socket.
It has 2 ciga sockets an Engle socket and the lock on socket and usb plug plus the 50 amp Anderson plug( grey one)
Considering the price of the battery, pretty reasonable. Baintech have pretty good stuff, we had their battery monitoring system in the last van

What's the battery capacity? I couldn't tell from the photos.

I like the principal ....the next stage up from the old style box with bits that had to be added and looks solid.
