Won't look good down the years with the stone chips I attract, guess its repaintable but sort of defeats the Maintance advantage of checker plate then. Guess it needs to grow on me? Hopefully not like warts!

Well I ducked out to Jayco to pick up a loan van for this weekend while we wait for our new one and the 2013 17-56.2 OB was there..... Now to wait for mine!!!

I am sure I saw a post here somewhere of a pic where the door had two symmetrical black stickers also.
May have been on a work n play model.

I ordered a 2013 17.56-2 OB Expanda on the 15th November.

The dealer showed me the internal document then with the list of changes to the 2013 models – as previously posted, the brochures haven’t been updated for public release… but OB Expandas now include:

- Black checker plate finish to the sides
- LED internal lights (rolling stock update)
- Updated 15” alloy wheels (I went 16” so will probably get old stock…)
- Upgraded wheel arches
- Upgraded step insert
- Revised fabric patterns and/or/maybe a new colour
- Updated tent colour – Mineral (no idea what this looks like)
- Upgraded Joinery pattern – Avikira (apparently used in Sterlings?)
- Galvanised rear bumper

Expandas will now come standard with:
- Roll out awning
- Air conditioning (truma aventa)
- Gas bayonet

I was also told previously that the external speakers optioned will be mounted on the checker plate and they will be white!

Regarding the LED lights - the update document specifically noted 'rolling stock update"

I went for a mid March delivery (apparently the 2nd production run of 2013 17.56-2s) to wait for the LEDs to make the install as directed by the dealer... My van is due off the line 12th March.

I was don't be rude off today when I went in to sign off the the final layout when my order specifically noted "*** There is a high chance this unit will not receive LED's ***"

If anyone takes delivery of a 17 foota in late feb/early march, let me know you get for lights...

I wouldn't be accepting that ligedy. If the salesman promised it then I would be telling the salesman to document on the papers no delivery of LEDs by factory means Jayco outlet will do them at no extra cost instead.

Hi Ligedy, It sounds like our vans are coming off the same run! I don't believe there was a mention of LED's on my order sheet at all though...

Also Maccayack the wheels are slightly different - the spokes are a touch broader than last year - A similar color,, mainly charcoal. As minor as it is, I really like the Carbon Fibre looking flare around the wheel arches too.

Spot on Brad - I pulled out the contract where it shows LEDs written down as standard and settled at having aftermarket LEDs fitted by the dealer in place of standard light globes (that way I can keep on schedule for a march delivery).

Not sure if it's BS or not but was told the new LED light fittings are different and due to manufacturing/supply issues won't be ready for Feb or March production runs and now more likely fitted to pandas built around April.

Robert.Smith – yeah boy, can’t wait for March to get here! My spec sheet from Melbourne noted ”upgraded alloy wheels” but the dealer couldn’t confirm the pattern of the 16's or if they look like the new 15” wheels.

Hit the Road – agree… I could have had a van delivered in Feb without LEDs but was told to hold off if i wanted them…

Guys, what's all the fuss about LED's?

If you shop around on eBay you can get enough LEDs to fit your van out and have a few spare for about $15...

You sound just like the sales man I bought my panda from Zerosecta but he said $50 bucks :)

I told him I thought I ordered a 2013 model not a 2003 model and he better get clicking and do what he promised if that's all it costs.

Ps. The fuss for me is all about choosing to wait for the nice new little additions on the 2013 model and then get told not all are included, then again I am just very fussy!

Hi guys I to ordered a 17.56.2 special buffet layout on the 18th Nov due off line on 18th Feb for shipment to WA on 22nd Feb and I do have LED lights included----apparently and according to my sales contract FYI have to wait and see but no reason to think I'll get anything other than what I ordered at this stage, have dealt with our dealer before and they have always fulfilled their promises and met my expectations. Sooo excited
