Well I did a bit of research and while I cant remember exactly which model Playdoh you have Bluey I reckon you have about 100kgs to spare on the GCM but only about 80kg if its a petrol, so an extra pizza for lunch and that esky full of fish to take home may blow it...................couldn't find axle weights for them though.
Might be better to fill tanks only when needed and dare I say it, buy beer when you get there.................no carry minimal food and buy that when you arrive........no takeaway or you will overload for sure on the way home......1kg under is just as good as 50......

I haven't put Big Mal or The Ute on a bridge for 2 reasons, 1........they usually want a lot of money (the ones I drive near)
and 2.......I don't have any money......

76 , mate got one pushed the axle back and widened it to match the front, very schmick unit, I think I could have built my house for what he spent on it though...He's a hot rod bloke, they just can't leave things standard.

We looked at a new 79 Ute while in bundy am what can I say :( I think they start at $76,000 plus the rear tray and $2700 for air-con plus a canopy. The inside is 1979 the radio 2 speakers the 1 cup holder crap seats and I’d need to get out to lock the hubs . Not going to happen no gps .
I really wanted one but the negatives out weigh the positives .
Back to a Colorado or ranger for me

She'd be right @mfexpanda , you get used to it...when I went from a Grand Cherokee to the Ute it certainly felt like a backwards step but I'm used to it now and love it.......except God I miss the seat in my Jeep, it was just so comfortable and the power of the Merc engine, at least now I can carry all my gear and more.........think I'm wandering.......

What if I was to entice back with the 4200kg GVM upgrade. My truck cant carry that much.
The LC79 could carry your Colorado, whilst towing your van

Just stop going to weigh bridges you lot and be blissfully ignorant and enjoy holidays as they are meant to be.......................listening to too many boogey stories about Scaly Men.....only worry you if you are downright stupid mostly, truckies are bigger fish to fry, $1,000 a ton or part there of.

hey, I can understand if someone is say 100-300kgs over............ not hard to do

its the nomads, with their 4wd loaded to the hilt (with boat on the roof) towing a massive 20+ foot van, that on its own is close to their towing max with a folding boat trailer on the very back next to the 3 x 20L jerry cans

these are the people who are more than likely near on 1T over the limit

So can a John deer tractor with the same comforts
I was looking at a NPS300 Isuzu dual cab 4x4, so clearly Ive thrown comfort to the wolves

Just try to convince me this is not a super cool looking unit. Possible the best, after the mighty Navara
