Great setup @yabbietol we have the drifter with that table. It is beyond doubt the best option we have ever had in a fourbie. So practical and used every trip.

I fitted big ugly mirrors to go with the big ugly air intake. They were not too hard to fit, a bit fiddly having to remove the door lining. The install video was very helpful.

The Clearviews provide a nice wide view and the car stills fits in our garage. They will make towing easier and safer.

I found a picture of the divider and shelf I was talking about before..............

Drifta do make a nice set of shelves and dividers like the above pic, they also have cages to keep your fridge (prisoner) in and they have the very nice (expensive ~$800) drop down fridge slides, but we have to draw the $ line somewhere. So far we are very happy with the current set up, but will get a better idea after a few trips.

they will fit in the cruiser - 2 draws side by side like the picture
but they wont fit the Patrol - 1 draw and the fridge sits on a slide next to the draw...........
also has a piece that fits over where the fridge should be if its not in use
this pic is just before I fitted the Engel fridge slide

are they the ones that are made from re-cycled materials @yabbietol

I remember reading something once about it.........once...........awhile ago
They are made of Polyethylene which is the same material water tanks, fuzzy jackets and soft drink bottles are made of, it is a durable and recyclable material. They are Australian made in SA and they are an Australian invention. ARB now own the company and supply the mounts. They are widely used in NSW Gov 4wd vehicles, our local SES just got a Merc light truck fitted with one.
Lots stories of them taking big hits from animals and other objects and the vehicle driving home ok with minor panel damage. The Polyethylene flexes and absorbs energy under impact and usually comes back to it original shape. I have seen a Commodore (was ours which we sold) after two seperate hits (Kangaroo and Wombat) at speed (~100km) having some panel (kangaroo) damage and minor (wombat) sub frame damage, but was perfectly drivable home and drivable for years afterwards with no real repairs and most importantly no injury to the driver (a friends daughter).

They might be ugly in some peoples opinion (not ours), but they work in keeping us drivable and safe. They do not reduce your ANCAP safety rating. They are also the most pedestrian "friendly" bull bar. Sorry if I sound like a sales person, but after the ugly flack, I would like to defend this quality Australian invention.:) I do not feel I need to justify our decisions on this very friendly forum, but sometimes think it is good to let people know why would we spend $2550 on a subjectively "ugly" black bull bar (we would have preferred a grey silver one like our previous 2 Smartbars on a Pajero and a Commodore, if they still made them).:02.47-tranquillity:

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

no, your not a sales person - I did ask the question - its not made of recycled - but can be after use - good stuff
thank you.........

as for being ugly

one mans biscuit is another mans unsweetened scone...........................
(in the USA Biscuits & Gravy (like in the western & red neck movies) is an unsweetened scone & thick thick gravy)

you also dont have to defend your thoughts or actions, I feel, as they are yours and yours alone
as a Patrol man - I find there is nothing you can do to a 200 to make them look good - same as people hate the look of the Y62 (which I like)
its an either either situation

but they do the job - and thats what we pay good money for - for it to meet or exceed our expectations
I like the idea of flexing back after a hit (just dont know why you would pick on a poor Wombat)

I personally think I am beautiful, but most would disagree with me.

I cannot answer that one @Dobbie as I think I am Gods Gift to Mankind as well.........................:behindsofa:

I should say, I have hit several 'Roo's over the years -
2 with Ali bars on cars - both had to be replaced
1 ran into the side of me and bent the door (so I didnt hit him - he hit me - honest)
only once with a steel bar - and the sod was mid flight when the bar hit him - and he took out the roof rack on his way over

we dont have Wombats roaming over here, so I've never hit one

was passenger in a car (Cruiser) that hit a flock of Emu's on the North Coastal Hwy just before Karratha - man, feathers everywhere

Hey...not me!

@NoWorries might be guilty.

Can I say my ally bullbar is still not cleaned properly? I seem to lose interest every time I think I should finish it. It's half done.
