Starcraft Jayco Starcraft Fibreglass Walls Now An Option!

Jayco now offering an option to add to your jayco starcraft fibreglass walls.

I am wondering if the pop top 17.58.3 with fibreglass walls adds the additional 10 cms or so in height that the 17.58.3 lost.

About time I reckon, what about everyone else.....

Did see that a little while ago in another thread. I think someone posted a link to an article and it was a $2000 to $2500 option.
Looks nice but personally can't see the advantage the extra price commands.

I would think its actually cheaper to press one of these out via a computer then have someone manually clad it?

Yep your wallet is considerably lighter after optioning the fiberglass.

I'd hope not the SC 17.58 -3 is higher enough now Iam 6'1" and need a step leader to get the AFK on.

There not CNC cut out. Once the frame is laminated a persons runs around the edge with a router cutting it out. Both are done the same, then the SC is clad. Which is where it would be more labor and cost. Hence the reason Jayco are shafting us to offer the fiberglass for more

just looked a lot quicker in the factory to make the sides then the guys manually cladding.

@expanda was mentioning the fact with the pop down the Starcraft is lower then a Expanda height wise. It is lower then the Avan we looked at before hand as well. Why the bottom bunk is so low.

their offer is getting more confusing by the day, we bought a Sterling that now looks exactly like a smooth sided starcraft, we looked at a discovery which was exactly the same van with different trim colour, different cupboard catches, different cushions and decalls. We only bought the sterling because it was a year younger and closer to home, we thought it might have better resale eventually also.
