no worries.. With the Ergotron looks like you can just lift it off.. Rather not travel with it on. you can get a quick release kit although if the arm just lifts off can travel with it.. I did not want the Jayco one as it did not pull out far enough.

Yep I have done the fridge as well but I used sika Flex @dagree ....you will have to let me know how the Velcro holds up too.

@davemc I have numerous things I have purchased for the van sitting in the shed too :pound::rofl:
Ours has been 'stuck' in the fridge for our entire 10,500km trip over 5 weeks, still holding strong. It's not the velcro that will let go but the adhesive on the back, but no sign of letting go. Used what it came with, the sticky patch on the sliding panel. Have slid it off when in storage.

Did you get yours for the big green shed as well @Marv_mart maybe I should have cleaned the surface better but I would have thought that with the fridge being new it would have been clean.....The surface looked clean. Then again mabe the heat got to the adhesive on mine.

Yes, BGS, clean and dried the surface thoroughly with metho. Have stuck very well on side wall just under freezer door level. The 'spare' we put on the end wall above the toilet, moved the toilet roll holder to the same wall as where it was was awkward and kept being knocked.

Had the expanda in for some minor warranty work and had a look at things properly once I got home......
Can highly recommend "Northside Caravan Repairs" if you are in the Perth Northern Suburbs. Great service and seem like a great bunch of guys there as well hey @Smash ;) and thanks for the hand to hook up.

Main issue was the leaking skylight we encountered a couple of months ago during some heavy rain. Had things explained to me even before they looked at it when dropping the van off and apparently the issue is not with Jayco QC..... It's the material used for the skylight frame. The sikaflex/silastic/whatever doesn't stick too well to it and needs to be etched or "roughed up" to allow it to stay stuck!
@Nagga's ... Might pay you to have another look at yours (Unless you did a similar fix).

Northside removed the skylight, cleaned it, "roughed it up", refitted with foam tape and then sikaflex or whatever.
Other issues sorted were:
1. Flickering globe over the hotplate - Globe replaced.
2. Water leaks underneath - One-way valve and a couple of fittings replaced. All other hoses checked and tightened where necessary.

Thankfully only minor issues compared to others but happy with the service and will go back again :)

True about booking times @NickM87 .
Booked today's visit over 6 weeks ago and spoke to them about booking in for a 12 month service for next January. Advised me to book at least 2 months ahead at that time of year..... Good sign for a good business. Always plenty of vans there whenever I drive past.

Wow at the expense about to come ;)
As said good service and willing to talk, listen and discuss things!

Thanks for the info David! For now it is fine with the little rain we have had so fingers crossed that part is all good! BUT then a few weeks ago I noticed on the table you could see where something had been dripping, the only thing above was the light!! Will maybe be in Gero in Jan so hopefully Jayco have a service centre there and I can book it in! Just playing out the atm, lined the toolbox with a couple of those click in rubber camping mats. Just hopped on here to check out how members have attach their pvc pipes for sullage/water hoses under the vans?? How are the new bed ends going, they do look bloody good!

@Stephen Galvin
I contacted Caravanland first up and they recommended Northside to me. As far as I know you can just contact the service agent direct.
They have authorisation forms that get sent to Jayco for approval and payment.

Would have done the globe and leaks myself but thought might as well get them done while in there for the skylight.

This weekend was supposed to be one where there were no mods done to the expanda and a bit of work done around the house and on the Prado.......
Well..... If Toyota got their act together and got my plastic clips here in time for the inner gaurd panel I would have pulled the front apart and fitted the snorkle... Looks like next weekends job.

After doing half the winter weeding found out there is some rain heading our way so the pressure sprayer and "Roundup" were put back in the shed..... And seeing the Low Voltage Cutout Switch (Thanks to @Bmhdg76 for the idea) arrived on Friday and I was starting to get bored ;) out came the drill and cable cutters and fitted the switch.

Only thing required was to cut back the foam sealer and change the terminal strip!!!

Not a real necessity @Bluey . More of a personal choice if running the fridge from the cars battery. In our previous landcruiser I had the power to the fridge wired through a solenoid and it cutout when the ignition was turned off.
Couldn't be bothered pulling the panels off the Prado and doing the same this time so this was the easiest and cheapest option without having to remember to pull the Anderson plug when stopping.

Not a big issue as I'm running it off the second battery but something to think about if you only have one battery and stop regularly or for long times and don't want to fire the fridge up on gas (I'm getting lazy in my old age LOL)

Is the Redarc unit for charging the vans battery or running the fridge? Or both?
mmmm ur getting all tech on me Im sure it sends power to the van for everything when car is going but if u turn it off the car then all power to the van stopes so u don't get a flat batt and don't have to disconnect plug sometimes may forget to do that the unit can also support a 2nd batt as I said just needs to be wired in didn't cost that much 200 or something got it fitted when they rewired my car its well worth the cash will get a 2nd batt in time can send pic of it and more info from paper work if needed

All's good @Bluey
If it shuts off when you turn the car off you won't need a low voltage cutout switch.... The redarc works just like the solenoid I had on the landcruiser
