Where to put speakers in 16.49.2

Hi all I have just brought an Axis CD/DVD unit which I will install soon. I was just wondering where do people put their speakers.

I don't want to lose to much storage space. If I install them down low closer to the floor will this effect the sound.

I put mine here and the other one is on the other side of the cabinet up against the bed and the sub is in the bottom of the same cupboard but I don't know the lay out of the 16:49:2 mine is a 3

When I owned my 16.49.2 I put them under the bottom bunk - one each end.
They sounded great.

Ok I have picked up the speakers for the van now I have gone with a pair of 300w 3 way 6x9 Alpine's. I am going to put them in the bottom bunk like twscoot.

If you look at my old advertisement you'll see them in place (along with a few other mods...).
