What is your chosen hitch set up for your van?

This poll will show which hitch is most commonly used.

If you would like another style added to the poll let me know. :ranger:

I have the 50mm ball (standard) with Hayman Reece WDH.
Originally I was going to change it over to the DO35 with WDH as we had the DO35 on our old camper trailer and loved it. But we won't take this anywhere where it needs the articulation that it gives.

Both are just as easy to connect.

Standard 50mm ball and WDH.
Didn't know about any of the others when we bought ours.

Having said that, it hasn't failed me and it's been over some tracks it probably shouldn't have.

What about the "Genuine Toyota WDH"?
I don't reckon it rates a mention either although it would be interesting to see if anyone has preserved with one.
I've got one still in the box on the floor of the shed. When I saw it I weighed up my options "use it or get rid of the Prado" I'm driving a Ranger now :thumb:

Standard 50mm ball with wdh....Jayco would not fit anything different for us! In saying that I can't see me changing it either.

Standard 50mm ball. Have been considering a wdh, everything sits pretty reasonable at the moment though

I was convinced to change my genuine prado tow bar to a haymen reece bar when i was shown pics of it cracked and it was made out of cast steel. it cracks before the chain points and tow ball so when she lets go so does the whole van. Also only 6bolts compared to 12 on the haymen reece. Didn't take me long to decide best $520 buck i spent as insurance i reckon
