14' Series Wet Front Mattress

Has anyone had there front mattress get wet from driving in the rain. We have noticed it 2 out of 4 times we have travelled in the rain. The end of the mattress that sits on the front storage has gotten wet. I think the rain must work its way in the sides by force while driving on the highway. Has anyone else had this or know of a fix. Cheers Tony.

We didnt have the model you do, we use to own the 16ft but 2007 model. We never ever had a wet bed mattress etc. Even in absolutely driving rain we were dry as a bone. There maybe a leak in the seal, Im not sure.

we are getting the front lid replaced under warranty for bubbling so will mention it then.

Not so far on our 2011

We did. The rain was coming in via the top hinge.
We got it fixed under warranty.
And I think they reseated the rubber seal also.

We haven't had that issue with ours, and have driven in some very heavy rain.

Hope you get it sorted, that would be very annoying.

Have same problem. Not sure where it is getting in at the moment, but as you said it is only in heavy rain and when driving at speed on highways. Don't seem to have any problems with it when set up or light rain, so hard to identify.

If anyone finds a solution let us all know.

we have bubbles on our front lid too, going to get it done next service.

We have had this problem and have discovered that the little bit of stick-on velcro on the bedbase where it joins the van comes away.

It isn't a problem when you are parked but when you pack up and drive off it makes an access point where water can be forced into the mattress.

We roll a towel up and put it in there when travelling and will take it up with Jayco at our next service.
