Hi there,

we are looking at purchasing a 20-64-OB2 and wanted to know if the washing machine fitted in the shower area or if you had to get it put in the cupboard on the left when you first enter the van? I would prefer in the show area.

Thanks

We've just ordered the same van, hopefully get it in November. You're the first I've seen getting the same! As far as I know it has to go in the cupboard near the bed as space is pretty tight in the bathroom, but im no expert by any means. We've decided to go without this time. Look forward to hearing more about your new van.

We got our 20.64 in April. The washing machine is mounted in the shower area on the left hand side of the toilet, part of the basin bench area. Hope this helps.

Cheers

I thought Jayco had it located in the cupboard at the front. I saw it located in that position when I was in one at Page Bros. about March of this year. I assumed they moved it as the cupboard in the bathroom is over the wheel arch. After seeing @Red1 photo's maybe they have moved it again. Jayco do tend to make minor changes like that. I experienced something similar with the van that I ordered. The layouts I had seen had the HWS and water pump in the bottom of the pantry. When I received the plans to sign off on, I noticed they moved them to the front boot. Bit of a pain because now I only have 2/3 of a front boot and access from only one side.

You will know for sure once you get the plans to do the final sign off.

Does everyone get a set of plans for sign off? We got a list of inclusions to check and the basic contract but no plans. Is that something the dealer should be able to provide?

When you purchase the caravan you will sign off on the model, colours and any extras you may want. Before the caravan goes into production your dealer should send you the plans along with all the information of what you are having in the van to do a final sign off. That is the process I had and I know of another person who purchased a Jayco had the same. At least by doing it that way it protects you and Jayco so that everybody is clear on what is included.

Yes, we were the same, plans provided, as we had changed a few things, we had to sign off on it all, including the colours before the build started
