Exterior twin water tank selector

Hello, I've got pretty much everything worked out on the expanda but the twin water tank selector has always confused me. As per picture the left hose is rear tank & right hose is front tank & bottom hose is the output. The arrow on the selector is pointing down so which tank does it draw from ? Thxs ss--ss

Thanks @cruza driver so if I point it to the left does it mean that the left tank will flow or be blocked ?

Straight down= both tanks (as CD said)
Pointing left (rear)= rear tank
Pointing right (front) = front tank
Pointing up = both off

If you look closely at your pic you will see a big triangle pointing down and smaller ones on on the cross bar of the tap, in that position the draw is from both tanks, turn the tap so one triangle is pointing at the blank end and you are drawing from one tank, best idea is to get some white out and paint the triangles so you can see them.

Thanks to all for the above info including photos found that tap today after owning the van for a yr was having trouble filling the tanks the discovered how to get rid of the air lock what a B****##** thing

Ok read all on this subject ,I remove existing tap and replaced with T section and two single taps for each tank from Bunnings took me 10 minutesI now have a much easier system to use thank you

So long as you remember to turn both taps in the right direction ?????? I would have thought one tap be easier ????
