Just thought I ask others what they think of the thetford fridges?
So far I have been reasonably impressed. The dial on the front is much clearer to see than the Dometic. The freezer space in the 160 litre is huge and much more usable than the 150litre Dometic. On Friday I turned it on at 8am and it had frozen water by 11.30am and the fridge temp had dropped to 1 degree. It has a better veggie area and more usable shelving. It seems to be very effective on 12v as well and I haven't upgraded the van wiring as I have previously. Overall other than finding it a tad harder to light on gas I'd say a marked improvement over the Dometics, but it hasn't faced a summer yet.
