Unlike many here, Im not a really big fan of the fold down picinic tables you can order as an option. I think they are a little too small to be usefull, an on a OB, tend to sit a little too high.
With my current soft floor camper, I have been using 2 of the $38 Bunnings tressle tables. I just throw them on top of the folded up tent, before fitting the canvas cover. We usually set one up under the awning for storing beach towels, magazines, sunscreen, kettle, toaster etc, and the other is under a gazebo for meals.
With yesterdays purchase of the 17.56-2OB, this method of table storage will not work.
I've been thinking about this for a while now and then happened to see this phots of a mod that Member "turtle" has done to store his hoses. (Hi Turtle, I hope you don't mind me pinching your photo!)

I was thinking I could do the same for the tressle table storage. One at each end.....The table when folded looks to be thinner than these hoses. Im just not sure how wide the opening is between the gas struts. If anyone happens to have this width measurement, or can thow a tape across theirs, I would be most appreciative.

Soaring, you'll no issue storing the required table, there is tonnes of room inside a 17.56-2. If i know the table in question (bunnings tressle blow mould ones), i get one ourselves and it fits in the dinette area. Cheers Pace.

They fit inside pefectly just in front of the beds. The wedge in upright on their side nice and firm. Tried to upload a photo, not as easy as before. I will try to post a photo later.

I normally wedge a pillow each side to stop it moving sideways, I'm sure with a bit of thought someone could come up with a better solution. Last trip it did not move.

I do the same, wrap an old blanket around the table as it could scratch, and then there would be trouble in the household

Soaring,

We put the 200W folding solar panels where maccayak has put the table, and have the folding version of the table from Bunnings and it fits nicely under the dinette table.

Cheers,

Rohan
