I'm going to disconnect them anyway before doing some welding on the Frame of the Expanda? But does anyone know, if the Solar panels were left connected could they be damaged by the Current from the welder? I know to disconnect the Battery but was just wondering about the Solar panels!

Did the spare tire carrier mod welding without an issue. Only thing to watch was when welding on the side of the draw bar that has the wires running through it so as not to burn the wiring.

Hey CG
If the battery is disconnected, I can't see any current path to the solar panels from the chassis. I agree with disconnecting just in case, you don't want to find out the hard way. Lol
