Hi,
Anyone had any experience with renewing NSW car rego while interstate?

Is a pink slip required?

If so can it be done whilst away?

If no pink slip required i.e new car then just do it over the internet....

If a pink slip is required its better if it can be done whilst in nsw up to a month in advance and then registered online where ever you are.

Thanks for that.
Yes a slip is required , It can be done 3 months ahead(I rang ) but I may be away longer than that.
Surely people doing a circuit of Aus must come up against this as I often read of people being on the road for years.

Went to RTA today and they made up a rego slip.
Then got the car inspected. The mechanic at first refused saying too early but after looking at the test form it says can be done 42 days early.
I have 42 days to get the rego paid, at least I don't have to think about it tomorrow when I hit the road.
