Camec inside door handle was a bit wobbly and a quick tear down showed it was cracked around the shaft. No problem, it's done over 10 years of frequent use. A check on the camec site says $53 .... Ok a bit of a shock but pretty typical for caravan parts and I better replace it. Fortunately we are in Karratha which has a big camec stockist.
Bowl into the store... $73!!! Nearly fainted. I get it costs a little more to ship to a remote city but they don't pay retail from camec anyway.
Worse still a quick check on ali and the entire lock mechanism including a new barrel and key...$35 delivered. That would be close to what the shop pays.
Anyway the gold handle is now in my possession and a full replacement set will be on order when I get home.
