Chassis Preferred rear wheel mount.

Hi all, I am looking at mounting the spare on the rear bar of my 14.44.4. Outback.
Has anybody used this particular style of bracket?:spy:
Any other suggestions?

@PhilW I have the same van but have a bike rack on the rear bar. I am considering underslinging the spare at the rear, alittle more fiddly to set up and a couple of more dollars than the solution you have posted but I reckon a better outcome. Just need to watch you don't upset the ball weight.
If you do a search on this forum you will find a few other members who have underslung their spare.

just make sure the rear bar is upto the extra weight . not all bars are

I bought one of these from eBay for my satellite dish mount. I cut the tyre plate off the end for the dish post, but its strong enough, and $40 delivered.
