Pop rivets in ply

Now who's idea was that? I found that on my van under the dining table closest the HWS there is no brace under the thin ply and this with kids bounding into the seat they popped the rivets out of the ply. I fixed it up with screws and now I just want to get some aluminium for a brace.

I had the same problem with our old Dove. Rivets in cheap thin plywood what a dumb idea.
I replaced the rivets with small bolts with a alloy strip on the underside and held in place with nylock nuts.
When I finally get the new van I'll be checking all seat bases etc for more rivets and replacing them before they give way.

I have had the same problem in my Eagle and the Expanda. The first week we got the expanda, I replaced all of the underseat rivets and hinges with full length Piano hinges.
