Hi all has anyone fitted a light to side of jayco 16.49.1 expander pop-top? I've got lights on main door side (inside annexe) but want one on other side, if so how is the best way of running wiring from light switch by door to other side of caravan.

mate, too many variables, and also dependent on your abilities

1) conduit over the top of the roof and down on the door side
2) as you walk in the door - to the left at the top opposite you is a pile of wires going up to the roof in the canvas bit- try tapping into there maybe........
3) drill lots of holes where you need the wires to come out, and feed the wire through them

4) get a Solar charged light and fit onto that side...........

I ordered an offside light on our Starcraft but the factory forgot to put it in. Page bros put an aftermarket one in that has the switch built in. The just tapped into some power and all good.

We've noticed, when in caravan parks in particular, that more people are leaving their outside lights on all night.

Either side, not just one,

I know it's safer if you want to trot to the toilet in the middle of the night but is there any other reason for this?

Forgetfulness?
Laziness?
Don't care about anyone else?

It certainly impacts on those around them.

You forgot one
Drunkenness

I have left mine on a few times usually due to too many "Happy Hour" drinks with the new friends.

That could be a reason...and we've all been guilty of that...and the other reasons....but it seems to be noticeably on the increase.

Just wondering if I'd missed anything as its a bit intrusive.

(The major offenders we noticed were also broadcasting 'the voice' to the rest of the park so I guess it was ignorance rather than forgetfulness)

:drum:
