Guys and girls or expanda land.
I once again need your help please.
I am trying to find the outdoor tv hatch thingy's that have a tv bracket inside of them and power and aerial connections. Do they have a special name?
Or do I just buy a small hatch then the rest of the items and somehow mount them in there?
Or if anyone has fitted one any i fomwould be appreciated. Hatch size that sort of thing.

@Paul its called an external entertainment unit, but its not a "unit", it just a generic hatch the same size as the toilet tank. The internal cabinet behind the hatch is boxed out with the cabinetry ply and the wires and bracket added

Hi @Paul , don't watch a lot of TV outside, but fitted a stainless steel slide in mount , same one as inside, but without arm.
Sits flat against van 12 mm , so doesn't stick out much at all. Ext weatherproof points below.

Exactly what I did. Very simple. Poke an HDMI cable out the window from the Topfield set top pvr we use (12 volt). Run the TV (with built in DVD) from the outside 12 volt socket.

Cool. Thanks for that. Did you have a stud behind the bracket or just use screws like you can use in plaster board?

no stud, just 2 x 8 gauge screws with sica which sticks like , well vey good. screws just hold until sica dries.

the down ward force of the tv weight isn't enough to move bracket, its solid, good old sica .

I put an outdoor table in and just made a tv bracket that drops into the top catches of the table when it is down. I posted it on here somewhere.

Macca - like the idea - if you could please advise where you purchased that bracket - it appears to be the same as that installed by 'Colin & Sue' earlier in this thread - I like the fact that it is a nice compact unit? Thanks
