Hi,

We are new to this forum and have had an Expanda one for about 6 months and loving it! Before that we had an Eagle Outback for 2 1/2 years (and 100+ nights in it!) until SWMBO decided we needed an en suite and air con!

We haven't added as many extras as we did on the Eagle as it comes with most as standard, but have included external shower, gas bayonet, 12v 110Ah battery (solar compatible) tool box added on front. I'm sure there are plenty of other things on the list - change rear bar and bike rack just for starters!

We have done several weekends away and one big trip in it so far, up to Central Australia and back down the Oodnadatta Track. It performed perfectly, although did lose a couple of hoses from stones, and was very impressed at how easy it was to tow behind a 150 D4D Prado.

There are some great ideas and tips on this forum so looking forward to reading up on everyone's ideas/experiences, and getting some good tips to make our trips that much more enjoyable.

Cheers
John.

Below is a pic from our last trip Queen's Birthday weekend this year.

Hi John,

Nice set up, we too went for the 16.49.3 OB as we for the same reasons, need the shower and toilet with little kids on those cold wet nights.
Good to hear that the Prado goes well, we have traveled over 10,000 km in ours with out any issues.

Cheers,
Chris

@16493ob That is the best model Expanda but I maybe a bit biased ;)

Where about is that pic you posted up it looks good :thumb:

Hi Cruza driver, the pic was taken at Glanpatrick Reserve, in the Pyrenees. A great spot with limited facilities but flat and wide open for several vans to get into. It's a great spot to base yourself and go 4wding through the Pyrenees, or wine-tasting, or sightseeing!

Cheers
John.
