Had my sisters wedding this weekend at Noosaville. Being a loyal forum member I thought I had better add a post for the park for our members.
No trip report as it involved a wedding so its a park report only......Drunk as 6 men.........cold as hell (For Queensland) but what a location.

We left on Saturday afternoon and had booked in with the van for the two of us at $86 for the weekend (Sat/Sun nights.....my god kids are expensive aren't they.....)

From our Bayside address it was 1 hour 52 minutes for the drive....very happy with this we arrived at 5:53pm and the staff actually called to make sure we were OK and still coming which I thought was really nice.

The park is one of the hardest to get into in the area due to its location and set up.

I would advise that if you have kids they probably should be a bit older and just doing things like cycling or canoeing as there is no kids playground or other structures that cater for kids.
Lets have a few pictures before I get in trouble......

What I really like about this park is a trend that is growing with a lot of park owners......having a slab for the van so you don't have to muck around levelling the mothership........

Our setup was under a tree...Site 87 for those interested...in summer this would be very very cool and well covered.....Oh crap SWMBO will not be happy with me having her in the pic.......

With kids or a boat the park has a boat ramp and its own small beach very close to the mouth of the river......

The amenities are clean and well set up.....there are 2 within the park and are very accessible.........the sites are a great size but the roads are tight and can be a little tricky to get onto.

The park is also accessible to the general public but is fenced and out of the way so I think security wise its very good. You are within walking distance of Gympie Terrace and its restaurant's.....Go to the Elvis Café for Fish and Chips not the one next door (How do you Burn Barramundi?) I also recommend the Moondoggy café.........but take the time to walk through the café to the back for an amazing seating area.

Hasting Street.....which is overrun with wankers.......is within driving distance........The Surf club is the pick for meals.....its view of the beaches is excellent. do a few laps because the parking is great if you can find a spot that is not in the national park.........

Check out the ferries and the hire spots.....gratuitous river shot to end the report..........
