had a rush of blood today and forked out for a new Weber q , now that's it's just me n Mrs. Gadget the 200 is too big so it's back to the baby couldn't resist the new colour

We'll need a replacement in the near future as our lid is fast approaching the new black. It's been used constantly for over 8 years and been in three different vans.
Do they now supply the grill plate in two pieces? I think I heard that but it might have been a different model.

Yeah Dobbie the grill is in two bits and is porcelain coated, it has an electronic piezo and the thermometer has a different look to it, I opted for the little Brekky plate instead of the half plate where you take out half the grill which should be big enough to get a couple of eggs and a few mushies on for Brekky and I'm not a fan of the new stand it's a bit fiddly but I suppose I'll get used to it . The whole reason for the black for me was all the white ones I've owned end up looking trashed so was hoping the black might make it look cleaner for longer the 220 I cleaned the outside of the lid with oven cleaner and it took all the shine off of it

Barbecues Galore seem to have one about the same size....and size does matter when it has to fit in a special Weber box on draw bar....and it looks a bit like a lady beetle. Red and black?
Bunnings also have an El Cheapo but I haven't looked closely but is about the same size as Baby Q but obviously not the quality.
More research needed methinks but it's not urgent. However I now know Weber have adapted do that's a starting point.
Hard to beat Mr Weber though.
