We went for a look yesterday at the OB silverline and the spare wheel is now under the rear with a winch to lower it like most utes.
The front where the spare was is now a metal tray to carry other gear looks good.
Are the other OutBack models the same in 2014 ?

Unfortunately the Expanda OB's still have the spare under the front. Will be looking at changing that after we pick ours up and use it a couple of times. Thinking of putting it on the rear bar and adding a box on front to house the gas bottles and weberQ.

I had a look at these today.

I love the 21.65-3 OB.

BTW, the touring was ok, but did anyone notice that you can't get the spare wheel cover off whilst the jockey wheel was fitted?

Not a huge weight difference and $4000 ish price difference at this end isn't huge.

Now, about that Ranger to tow it!
