18' Series New Front storage access doors

When we ordered our new 18.57-9 due May, we have been told the current opening front storage doors are to be replaced with a swing down door for 2012. I

haven't seen a new 18 foot at our local dealer yet, but after seeing the two vans below we are a little worried what door will be standard.

On their 2012 Base station that previously had the same door as the expanda, it now has a small door similar in size to the 17 foot.

Though their 2012 Work and Play has a larger door approx 500mm wide by 250mm high.

As the storage boot is a large area the small door seems like a waste and backward step.

Has any body seen a 2012 with the new doors as I don't want the small door if it is standard.

Hi Mark, I have seen the new doors, I thought they were about the same size. What I liked about them was the locking latches. They are no longer push button type things on the older Jayco's, but a pull and turn style latch. IMO a much safe and easily adjusted locking system.
