Well curiosity got the better of me @Dobbie and I just ventured out in the dark and cold
The ones I used were 15mm. This is the size of the outer "Cap" that is seen from the outside when clipped on!

If replacing make sure that both male and female components are replaced.

Hope you recovered from the dark and the cold! And thanks.....I thought I measured at 14mm but couldn't find them at that size so promptly forgot.

Will now get 15mm which makes far more sense..
