17' Series Need advice about LED strip light please

I have a LED strip light that i want to put onto the caravan edge and wire into the outside light. My question is: the strip light is 12 v and the caravan lights work on both 12v and 240v, are the caravan lights 240v input but only 12v output so therefore i can safely wire the strip lights into it?? Any help would be appreciated

Welcome @michelle menzel to the forum. The van lights are 12V. The 240V AC input in the van is changed to 12V DC via the Setec unit in the van. So you have no problem wiring in your strip light.

don't know want set up you have , but if it was me i would take the globe out and see if its marked 12volt, if not try it on a car battery, or check with a voltage tester if u have one.
my set up as most i believe is 240 comes into van step down to 12v for lighting.

but with all electrical " seek professional advice" what i offers is in my opinion only.

Thankyou very helpful, will wire them up tomorrow.. In the meantime i now have shelves in the wardrobe
