Didnt want to mount second spare on rear bumber as I believe weight aft increases tendency to sway.
So got winder on eBay...didnt want to drill winder access hole through chassis out the side so I oriented it forward and made a drill extention...advantages : used existing E W frame to mount ..weight forward of wheels and the wheel protects the plumbing .... see pics

I like it @alexvk2 . Is that a block of wood i can see to separate the wheel from the frame? If so, good idea as i would be worried about the wheel rubbing on the plumbing otherwise..
Cheers, Jemmo

Yes ..you actually need 3 blocks to stabilise the the wheel and keep clearance for access to the winder ..ends up at the exact same level as the supplied spare(which I had to use a piece of wood to stop it being loose in the holder!!).
