Has anyone camped at Lake Eildon Delatite Arm Reserve - free camping spots. A group of us are heading off mid-August blokes W/E. A bit of 4WDing, maybe fishing etc.. will be cold!! Can anyone suggest a good spot?

Hi @Bargie987, I know its not free camping, but we stayed at Jamieson Caravan Park on the weekend and its a great park on the Jamieson River. Great park with clean amenities and friendly staff in Geoff and Tracey, they will even supply fire drums for a small charge. They had powered and non powered sites, we had a powered site and it was $60 for two nights for two adults and a child.

The best part was its just a short walk up to one of the country pubs around, The Court House Hotel Jamieson. Open fires, good beer, great food and plenty of memorabilia to check out. You can then just stumble back down the hill back to the park.

Regards
Az

Hi,

Yes we camped there and it is a great spot- Eildon has plenty of water in it and weather wasn't too bad - no fish caught though- water temp still too cold apparently? I'd recommend this for a family if you want a spot that is a bit remote..

Go to Mansfield then go towards Goughs Bay but turn off just before town
Deligate Arm of Elidon Lake
Can have fires ,most camping spot have good drop toilets
Motor bikes , boating ,relaxing & only 1/2 hour from Mansfield
Always get good camping spot as their is many sites , each area has a name which makes locating camping spot easily if you are meeting others
Mansfield also normally has market on long weekend
Great place to set up camp
I nearly know all shops in Mansfield just like home
But family is happy as we are caravaning
