Exterior Kiwi Camp Dry or Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield

I've been thinking about whether it is worth using something like Kiwi Camp Dry or Scotchguard Heavy Duty Water Shield on the storm covers at either end of our (very soon to be delivered) Jayco Expanda 17.56-1 would be worthwhile or not.

Just wondering if anyone has used either product? I thought if it worked well, it would be a sure way of ensuring that there is no water transfer from outside in. Or do these stormcovers have some kind of water repellant already?

I think you'll find they don't need anything as they're almost water resistant.

The only thing you might want to do it season the stitching. The storm covers hang down with a fair gap from the bedends so shouldn't transfer water by touching.

I'd just carry some of the waxy stick stuff they sell for tents and use it in the stitching if needed.

I sprayed Neverwet on the seams of mine, just because I could.

The fabric appears to be waterproof, so even in heavy rain, I've never had water come through, and the Neverwet means the water just runs off the seams without wetting the surface.
