Ive just picked our 2006 destiny, its a 16ft6in single axle full size van with shower toilet with a loaded weight of i think its 1940kg. It is a touring model as we had trouble finding what we wanted within our budget, our last two pandas were outbacks so i miss the extra height.
So to my question, i was supprised to see it has slipper springs, is that normal for a touring single axle? It appears to have 9 leaves.
2ndly, it has shocks - i thought shocks were only on outbacks
3rdly, i was going to undersling it, it has a straight axle, but now i see it has slipper spings i was thinking about getting some outback springs (eye/eye) and welding new rear mounts to the chassis or am i wasting my time changing springs?
