Interior How to clean grease of Expandable bedend?

Hi all,

We managed to get grease on the inside of the Expanda bed end roof (lent a mattress to a friend and it was returned with grease on it. We didn’t see it until too late.)

Now how do we get it off without making it worse?

Any thoughts gratefully accepted.

That's a curly one, talc to soak up the excess stuff with careful knife/scraper work to lift without spreading, I wonder if a steamer on one side and an old towel held against the greasy side would lift and transfer it to towel, you don't want any cleaners as they will just stuff the canvas...On some cotton gear ironing the fabric between brown paper can work to transfer the grease but the loose stuff has to be removed first....
Proofing afterwards with any of the spray on Drizabone stuff.......
Failing that a good scrub then sew a Been There Badge over it...

Many thanks @Drover, some good ideas. We have scraped of the loose stuff and we’ll first try the steamer and the towel.
